" I  have been extremely impressed with the quality of the teaching at JEM. The class  sizes are small which allows the children to get the attention they need in order to progress.   I like the fact that the teachers are actually in the pool with the kids talking to them gently at their level rather than standing shouting at the poolside as often is the case with so many other swimming lessons we have experienced.   When my son started with JEM the first thing I was struck by was the difference in approach used by the teachers. They are always gentle, encouraging and fun thus getting the best out of the kids. My children enjoy their lessons and have progressed well. My youngest child - aged 5 started her lessons with JEM just this year and I have been amazed with the progress she has made already.   It is obvious the teachers have a real love for swimming and this is passed on to the kids. Having tried a number of other swim classes this one is by far the best. I have already recommended the sessions to friends and would have no hesitation in further recommending these classes to any one who is looking for  high quality swimming lessons  Maressa Anthony

" A girl at my hockey team told me about the swimming class and how her 8 week old  baby was going under water! I was so impressed and decided to look it up online to find out more.                                                                                                         Being on maternity leave and more importantly maternity pay I wasn't sure when I saw the price of the lessons but thought I would give it a go for 6 weeks and see how it went. All I can say, having completed five 6 week blocks now, is it's well worth every penny!! The class numbers are a nice size so you get to know all the other parents and babies. You get lots of individual attention as well as taking part in group activities. Having other older children it gives me and my baby son protected time for us to bond and enjoy away from our hectic lives.  Aside from that it helps him develop confidence in the water and strengthen all his little muscles as they work hard in the water whilst he is having a ball!! I was amazed at just how much he could do in so little time and how being in the water is so natural to babies and should be part of their development.  I'm not one for the more traditional mother and baby groups but this is active enough for me to enjoy as well and suits us both perfectly. " Liz, Daniel and Matthew were excellent with the children combining fun with learning so Emma didn't even know how much she was learning. They were also extremely generous with their time and patience taking extra time with her when required to boost her confidence. It has been a great experience for us and Emma. JEM Kids was recommended to us by a friend of a friend as we had been looking for a class for our 3 year old daughter. JEM kids has proved a really good recommendation for us and we have been really pleased with the communication, price, choice of times and venues and most importantly the standard of teaching. I just wanted to add a few comments about our experiences:                     Professional teaching in a relaxed fun atmosphere by people who genuinely love what they do. All individual children are accommodated within a class, whether water-shy or water babies! Liz has a very child centred approach and can accommodate the whole range of abilities within a class taking time with each child developing them all at their own pace. It’s been a really rewarding and enjoyable experience for my son. He has got so much out of his swimming classes and it has developed not only his swimming but also his confidence and social skills. We have really enjoyed the experience so much. Liz is a fantastic, fun teacher who really engages with the children. It has been a wonderful experience all round.  Many thanks Liz.
